The Texians refused to give back the cannon and arrested the soldiers that came to retrieve it.

The Port Arthur Gin

The Port Arthur Gin

Port Arthur (PA) was founded in 1898 by Arthur Stillwell when he built the first railroad from Kansas City southward to the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. PA would become a major site for petrochemical industries and global trade. The port officially opened with the arrival of the British steamer Saint Oswald in 1899. Today, the port of PA is one of the busiest ports in the state of Texas, receiving and shipping goods from all across the glob. Thanks to current visionaries like A. Morris Albright and many more, PA is once again growing and on track to return to its glory days. PA is now home to Clifford Distilling, LLC.
